Information
Welcome! We’re happy to have you attending our online workshop Franklin Method Equestrian® Pelvic Power. On Saterday 13 February 2021 you can follow this workshop via Zoom.
During the 2 hour live stream we’ll take the Franklin Method approach to the pelvis. Your pelvis plays a central role in horse riding; everything strarts with the pelvis, your whole seat and posture depends on these bones.
How does the pelvis deal with all these movements from your horse? How do you effectively absorb forces and movement in the saddle. How can you improve your dynamic alignment, so you can move with your horse?
This interactive online workshop will introduce you to your Pelvic Power and Franklin Method Bone Rythms. We’ll dive into practical anatomy and biomechanics of the equestrian pelvis. As part of the Franklin Method you will off course experience all this through embodiments and exercises.
We’ll do different exercises from your home to experience an immediate effect on mobility and stability. Qualities you’d like to embody on your horse as well.
It is good to make sure you have some space to move around during this webinar. Have a chair ready, preferably with a hard seat. You can also keep your oranje Franklin balls ready if you have them, but all the exercises can also be performed without Franklin Balls.
The online workshop is at Saturday 13 February:
15.00h Amsterdam Time – 14.00h UK Time – 9.00h (9AM) New York Time
The replay will be available to you on this platform for one week after recording.
Where to from here?
You might have noticed most of the information on my website is in Dutch. Luckily there’s google translate and you will probably see some translations of my blogs appear on the Franklin Method Equestrian website.
However, sometimes I do give some webinars in English as well. These will be announced on the Franklin Method Equestrian Facebookgroup.
As of now there is one online workshop planned:
Tuesday 23 February 2021: 22.00h Amsterdam Time – 21.00h UK Time – 16.00h (PM) New York Time
This time we’ll talk about motor preferences for equestrians, so called Rider Preferences. Did you know you are born with a preffered style of moving. This is closely related to your style of learning and is derrived from the MBTI personality test. What does this have to do with Franklin Method Equestrian? Well, these motor preferences also seem to have a link with certain imagery taught by the Franklin Method.
During this 2 hour webinar we will explore the different Rider Preferences and how they relate to different Franklin Method imagery. This online workshop is great for people already familiar with the Franklin Method and use it in their teaching.
